Graduates Empowerment Programme (GEP)

Graduates Empowerment programme focuses on building the competitive capacity of Malaysian graduates to equip them with the necessary skills and competencies according to industrial demands.

This programme is a collaborative effort between SOCSO with more than 50 career leads from the public and private institutions.

The programme includes:


Career Counselling
Career counselling involves providing career advice and emotional support to jobseekers while motivating them in their job search efforts.


Job Search
Every individual can now search for jobs of preference through MYFutureJobs Portal (https://candidates.myfuturejobs.gov.my)


Job Matching
Through the technologies of bidirectional matching and artificial intelligence, individuals will be matched to the best suiting jobs based on their skills, competencies, experiences and education levels from their profile.


Employability Programme
The Employability Programme aims to improve the self-confidence of job seekers through various courses such as Basic Communication, Personal Grooming, and Interview Preparations.


National Apprenticeship Scheme

The National Apprenticeship Scheme aims to enhance the marketability of apprentices through soft-skills and on-the-job training, and to provide a support system to help youths secure jobs.

The scheme is open to SPM, certificate, diploma and degree holders which involves a multi-ministry collaboration to boost the employability of youths and provide opportunities for training and working.

The objectives of this program includes:
* Increasing the marketability of apprentices through “soft skills” and on-the-job training.
* Providing a support system for youth to help them get jobs.
* Helping to reduce the unemployment rate among youth.

What is a Youth Profile?
Belia Profile is a system centered on collecting data related to youth profiles in Malaysia.

Who Can Register?
Youths aged 15-40 years old (referring to the Youth Development & Youth Organization Act 2017 and voluntarily registered). The information registered is confidential and IYRES will not submit this data to any party.

Career Advancement Program (PENJANA KPT-CAP)

The Pelan Jana Semula Ekonomi Negara (PENJANA) program under the Ministry of Higher Education or PENJANA KPT-CAP is a government initiative in addressing the challenges of graduates to build market capabilities and reducing unemployment due to the Covid 19 pandemic. Graduates under the PENJANA KPT-CAP will be able to upgrade their skills and secure a job placement upon completion of the program.
